I was searching for something at findwhat

    and it came up with:

    "Welcome to http://www.worm.com !

    Hacked By Chinese!"

i don't like the sound of that! it doesn't seem to be doing it anymore though?

(sorry if this is the wrong forum, feel free to move it)

Looks like it. I clicked the link you had before you edited and sure enough there was Hacked by Chinese. Oops. I hope that doesn't mean peep's cc data has been accessed. Fortunately I'm not with them but I know a lot of folks here are. Hopefully it was just a hack to one page.

That's a Microsoft IIS server that's fallen to the Code Red worm.

Hmm, maybe this is a good excuse to use to demand my money back.

If I wanted that money sitting around doing nothing I would have put it in the bank. Plus the scumware connection between Findwhat and other unmentionable parties.

That worm is still floating around in full force. I see it come up in my stats as a 404 frequently. Even on a brand new domain, I'll see where it was attempting to hit our server. Fortunately, we are not running a windows server, but I get a lot of questions from my clients asking me what that crazy line is in their stats...Surprises me that sites are still getting hacked by this...it's been around for awhile, and there are several patches to take care of it.

On some of my new sites, the worm accounts for most of the hits...I just wish it would buy something!

Is there any way to stop it?
