    What's up with Plazan again?
Is it me, my computer or is there a new problem with Plazan?

When I try to go to the Plazan site, it automatically redirects me to http:// electricityuk (dot) com. None of my SAS links are working for Plazan.

    *sigh*

Same thing here. And the other pages go to stuff like this:

    Not Found

The requested URL /plazan-skin-care-newsletter/nl/2005_08_01_skin-care.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

In a way I'm glad it's not just me, however, if it had been, the problem would have been fixed by now. I wonder how long it's been like that and how much longer before it is fixed. Was the site highjacked? I thought Neil had moved to a different host last time Plazan had problems?

    Damn, still having the problem.

"I thought Neil had moved to a different host last time Plazan had problems?"

No, even tho everybody recommended he did, I even asked him about it in this thread:

    http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread...ghlight=plazan

"Just reread the thread and you never mentioned if you did move like everyone suggested after the first problem and then skipped it over again. Did you ever move away from those guys that were giving you so many problems?

    Hi Trust
We have resolved the issue with startlogic.
no we never moved, we just upgraded
until this hosting contract is finished
we will then consider the situation ."

Not sure if that's the problem now.

Not sure I understand what that means? Did someone just get the domain away from Plazan? Maybe it wasn't locked? Isn't Neil's last name Hart? Are Alan and Neil related? WTF is going on?

    Brian,

Hopefully you'll be reading this thread soon. Could you please put Plazan offline until this problem is resolved? At least that way we have the option of sending our visitors to a site that works rather than "page cannot be found" or something along those lines.

    Thanks.

The domain/whois is all messed up, and the DNS is all messed up.

In Windows with cmd, ping those domains in the whois and ping plazan, then access the sites by IP number, it's a messed up assortment, a tangled web.

They either let their domain expire or they are a victim if a $7 a month hosting account again. Either way, not a good thing.

    Question
Anyone hear anything new about this site?

I see some poor saps are still bidding on adwords terms 'plazan skincare'

Plus now the electricity site (mia too) now comes up 1st in goog for 'plazan skincare', 'plazan skin care' etc.

That electricity uk site now goes:

    The page cannot be displayed

Where is Neil at? When things like this happen, it's good to let your affiliates know you know about the problem and working on it.

Neil has been strangely absent from ABW - I'm more inclined to worry about his well-being than to suspect him, personally. It would be good to hear from him, though.

Meanwhile, the Plazan affiliate program is dead. Sucks for those bidding on the keywords in PPC the most.

Oh, it wasn't that I "suspected" him of any wrong doing or anything like that. More if you're running an affiliate program you should know if your site is down or having problems and notify your affiliates.

Exactly - I wonder where he is and what's going on with him, if he's OK, etc.

If the Alan you mention is a reference to me, that I know of I have no relatives at Plazan but we're on it!! My last name is Hamilton, not Hart, so I can't be much help - but I hope they get the problem straightened out for you. We've been around for a long time and plan to be here for many more years.

Just noted WebWorkers "who is" info and now I see the "Alan" you were referencing. Hopefully Neil is OK. From his posts I get the feeling that he is an upstanding guy. I tend to think it will all get straightened out.

I emailed Neil about this and he sent me a reply a few days ago. He said he was aware of the problem, the site had been hijacked and moved to a different server. It was a minute by minute kinda nightmare. He did say that they would get the site back somehow and be back online as soon as they could.

    Haven't heard anything new since.

I agree that a newsletter to all affiliates would definitely be appropriate in these cases to let us know that the problem is being addressed at least.

Neil could have posted here and let his affiliate PARTNERS know about such things.

What the hell is the matter with you people.

Whenever something is screwed up with Plazan, Mr. Plazan is notably absent.

Then comes the cock-and-bull story and increased commissions and bonuses and all that crap to round up more links and traffic until the next time.

The next time comes, and Mr. Plazan is notably absent again.

No need to BS around here. It's a waste of time and energy. A lot of folks around here are quite willing and able to pull the wool over their own eyes.
