Clickinks.com?? Why should I promote you??
    Hey Team,

While at lunch with some incredible individuals from the ABestWeb community; I had the pleasure of being enlightened about our program. These individuals are all too well known around here: Donuts, Uncle Scooter and Michael Nunez from Saluta consulting.

A concern was expressed that we should do away with our Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer and drop the prices of our cartridges. Flabbergasted, I came to the realization that the affiliate community may feel that we bump up the prices of our individual cartridges (relative to our competition) to compensate for our Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal.

Some of you may be surprised to learn how competitive we actually are. Let's take a real life example. It is commonly known in this vertical that the fastest selling printer and thus cartridges are for the Epson R200. (You can confirm this by comparing search volumes for various printers and manufacturers).

    Let's look at our offer:
    http://www.clickinks.com/SP-14144/Ep...Cartridges.htm

Price of the single Black: $7.95
Price of the single Colors: $7.45
Shipping: FREE 2 DAY Shipping! (No Minimum Order Required)
Offer: Buy 2, Get 1 Free on the combo packs and single cartridges and loyalty points earned on each order.

I am sure that if you have ink traffic, you are most likely promoting one of the following competitors:

    123 Inkjets:
    http://www.123inkjets.com/product.ht...d=6189&group=1

Price of the single Black: $7.95
Price of the single Colors: $7.95
Shipping: Free Ground Shipping on orders over $55
Offer: Various free gifts of neither significant nor intrinsic value

    4Inkjets
    http://www.4inkjets.com/Epson,Stylus...2,printer.html

Price of the single Black: $6.95
Price of the single Color: $6.95
Shipping: Free Ground Shipping on orders over $50
Offers: None that I could see

    Carrot Ink
    http://www.carrotink.com/webapp/wcs/...t=&model=23257

Price of the single Black: $11.95
Price of the single Color: $8.95
    Shipping: $3.95
Offers: None that I could see

    Printpal
    http://www.printpal.com/epson_r200.html

Price of the single Black: $7.95
Price of the single Color: $7.95
Shipping: Free Ground Shipping. However a default of $4.95 is selected.
Offers: None that I could see

As you can see we are inline with our competition on pricing. Our combo packs are discounted by between 20% and 25% off the single cartridges. We offer an insatiable Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal and Free 2 Day shipping, not ground, like many of our competitors. On top of that customers automatically earn loyalty points on the products they purchase. These are redeemed on future orders; incentivating customers to repurchase from us.

In comparison, I think you will agree with me that our offer is considerably better than the competition.

So what’s stopping you from promoting our program?

You’re not too sure about Ink
Fact is, Ink is a consumable. Individuals and companies buy ink like you buy bread and milk. It’s a necessity and they’re either going to buy it from an online vendor or they’re going to buy it from Staples or Office Depot. But rest assured they will be buying ink!

You may be concerned about our conversion rate.
On average all of our in house marketing campaigns convert around 9% of the traffic we receive from those campaigns.

But what about the average order value?
Well with our Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer, which is currently available across our Epson, Canon, Brother and HP range (with Lexmark soon to come) our average order value is quite likely twice that of our competition. The deal offers your visitors and our customers a significant incentive to purchase 2 instead of 1.

Start promoting ink today! Click here to begin.

Still need to be convinced? I invite you to compare the price of the printer on your desk, at our website: www.clickinks.com

    Thank you for your time,
    Sajjad

    Excellent points, Sajjad.

What can I add to it?

    - 1 -

    Look at the statistics:

Selling ink with Clickinks converts. The above speaks for itself. Join Clickinks now.

    - 2 -

Clickinks believes in you and values you as an affiliate so much that it will pay you to get activated, to upload the feed up and to start sending sales [more info here].

Still not convinced? E-mail me at ink*at*amnavigator*com and even if some other ink merchant is offering you anything better than the above, I'll see what I can do to make it worth the time for you.

When I run up against the brick wall defining the limits of a merchant's ability to increase their conversion ratio... I seek out ways to increase AVERAGE ORDER SIZE. The buy 2 ..get 1 free push justifys and drives larger average purchase amounts. Same deal goes for FREE FREIGHT offer on orders above $$XX sales amounts. The smart merchant then either adds a new line of higher priced goods to make the threshold easy, or adds the freebee enticement to existing product offerings.

Clickinks, if they continue to push the 2-fer deal should should the net price of a 3 pack purchase right on every product page. Let the shopper do the math!

A promotion like "Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal" helps affiliates in several ways:

    1) It gives affiliates something to promote, which is essential to some sites.
    2) It helps increase average order size, which increases commissions.
    3) It helps increase conversion ratios, which increases EPC and commissions.

Nick has asked if the abbreviation has to do anything with the "FCUK" he has printed in his T-Shirt... Well, I can see there the "GB" could have a relation to the "UK", but my thing has nothing to do with these...

FCGB = Fun Cash Geno Bucks.

So: What percentage of the Clickinks customers take advantage of the "Buy Two - Get One Free" offer?

$10.00 GB's of Fun Cash are ready to fly to you.

I'd guess the shoppers aren't stupid and would do the math... 62% of sales go for the buy 2 get 1 free offer. Many like me have problems doubling the price and dividing by 3 until the cartridges are already in the cart. That adds to the percentage.

10 Geno Bucks are still at stake...

    62% wasn't the correct answer...

Hint: the % is larger than that!

    Any other guesses?

Further hint: the number is over 70%!

God knows I want to give out those $10 GB's and also, let affiliates take an important piece of information out of this...
