Now everybody and their grandmother wants to know what I do and how I do it. I can't get a moments peace especially at work. I can't wait till my last day and to move - a fresh start and when asked what I do, I'll keep it real brief - Design advertising campaigns.

For crying out loud - if I made $1000 for every question I've answered I'd be rich. Now they're starting to just piss me off with their nebyness. 'What do you?, Exactly how does that work?'. Well it works best when I exactly don't tell you how it works. LOL!! What they are really asking is 'Where can I go to steal your ideas and your websites???' You never gave a damn about what a poor lil girl was doing before all this, don't start now - witcha 1% raise - what a joke. Do I look like boo boo the fool. Don't think sooo!!!

I wish they would just GO AWAY - Now I have 3 more freakin weeks at work to deal with this crap - Ohh, I feel a sickness coming on. cough cough LOL!!

Easy 4 word answer: None of your business!

or you could go for the more popular 2 word answer, since you don't have to work there soon!

Go for the rumor mill!

Make up some werid story and add to it each time someone asks.

I'm moving to start a new life developing hand imprint software. It detects fingerprint on the screen of the monitor from when people touch the screen. Then it checks the finger prints against local and National wanted list. It can then notify the FBI. Mirosoft is really interested and the Government has given me a grant.

Tell people anything you want. Just remember that as long as you brag about how much money you make, people are going to want to know what you do. If you keep your mouth shut, people won't care.

You've been seconded to do some undercover web design for a major US intelligence organisation but that's all you're entitled to say?

LOL - You guys are too funny. Some good careers to consider here. LOL!!!

Dignan - I never have bragged about how much I make to anyone at work. They assume that I am making money because they know I'm building a house and now leaving my job. Never once did I brag to them about anything. They didn't even know that I had a business that was doing well until I started building my house. Then when I gave my resignation - well thats when the questions started.

Tell them you have this friend Tom, and if they send him $1000 (preferably cash) he will tell them what to do.

People around here wonder where I make my money and what I do. My friends and family are the worst. It seems like everyone wants a piece of the action. They expect me to hold weekend seminars on how to make web pages and how to advertise and select merchant partners. I love my family but they can be so annoying sometimes. I just wish people would mind their own business and live their own lives.

Jada,

Do what Jay Abraham does. FYI he is the guru of direct marketing and he is REALLY GOOD.

He charges people $10,000+ a day and tells them everything they need to know to maximize
direct marketing.

You deliver the dough you get the info.

In addition he charges $5,000 per head to attend his seminars. Most of his seminars have more than 500 people.

Get the picture - .

You know who Suze Orman is - financial planner guru.

Well she was just another run of the mill player in the big game of money until she wrote a book about financial planning that EVERYONE could understand. Now she makes real big bucks.

You Can Be the Suze Orman of the net babe. You can do it. Here's a title for your book.

Want To Make REAL MONEY Online. Kiss This!

Core - I can relate totally!!! Friends and family are the worst no doubt. Yeah, why can't they live their own lives and do what the heck interest them.

Frederick - I am going to take your advice VERY SERIOUSLY. Once I resign - I might have time to work on such a venture. Heck, why give the information away for free - it doesn't benefit me any to do so. It is definately worth someone paying $5,000 - $10,000 for when it has the potential to net the person that much and more within a matter of months.

Omigoodness - one of my bosses friends just called me on my private line which she gave out and they don't even know me!!!! Unbelievable.

Tell them you do Internet porn, and then ask if they want to be in your next shoot. I find most people never ask again.

Jada,

Good. You can do it...knowledge is the path to enlightenment...and there is no law that says those with the knowledge should be charities.

Awhile back there was a great commercial for Apple computers...in it some people were asked how they did something that was worth
serious money.

They answered: "Hire us and we'll tell you."

I have been doing marketing for alot of years and I know of no one who has made as much as you online in as short a period of time with or without venture capital.

You definitely have something to sell - do it and get set for life.

Jada--

Fred's got good points but most w*rkplaces are filled with people who will just try to mooch the info. In other words, it's probably best to sell the info somewhere where the people are more likely to want to BUY it...certainly try to get the soon to be EX co-workers to pay, though!

And as for the ones who won't pay the Ks, if you don't like the person you can always give them the list of your "special" merchants. You know, ones like IDT Global Call, Travelocity, etc. And don't forget the Snare and BeFree "special" merchants! <IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon38.gif>

If you DO like them, giving them some true, but technically difficult (sounding) answer is sometimes the best response.

(brackets replaced with parentheses)
"First I open a new document. Then I type, (HTML), (HEAD), (Meta Name="good" content="luck figuring this out in a 10-minute break period"), [go through code for an entire web page--that wouldn't sell] Then I hyperlink that into the rest of the documents at the Uniform Resource Location, then I allow it to be indexed into a .asp database run from a conglomeration of thousands of database servers..."

Chances are you won't even be able to say as much as I wrote there before the person gets a winded look and says "Oh, forget it."

Just remember that techies are immune to that method and will figure out what you're saying, so don't use it on them.

Jada,

You can help them help you....
1. Make a business plan.
2. Create a page that describe what you do generally step by step, such as:
- need to have a web host
(you can have commission on this )
- need to join affiliate program (CJ)
(you get $2/lead & 20%)
- get some advertising method that they can use that you get some commission.

Supposedly if you make
$1000/month and you can teach others to make $1000/month then you will get:
5 people: 5 * 20% * $1000 = $1000
10 people: 10 * 20% * $1000 = $2000
(assuming that other people are as smart as you )

So,
You can just say:
"You can go to this website blablabla.com and follow it step by step, and DO NOT skip even one step."

That case everyone win. You win, they win, and everybody is happy.

Do it enough and you can spend the last three weeks at w*rk in peaceful solitude

Just point them too cashsurfers or some email reading program, ofcourse giving them your link to sign up through, and tell them to do what they say and be patient.

LOL @ QBall

XO - I've actually already created what I call a training site - but I haven't yet made it public. I don't know what I'm afraid of or waiting for. I charge $49.95 for a lifetime membership into the site and it's full of a bunch of ebooks and free articles that teach you about affiliate marketing and internet marketing. But hell that's not enough to make me want to share - I need to up that to about $100. LOL!!!
