Hi
I might be walking around with my eyes shut but I was wondering what Yahoo stores are. Are they something anybody can own, or are they only run by Yahoo?

Only wndering as they seem to be coming up in more and more search results.

They are available from Yahoo for a monthly fee. I forgot just what the fee is, but as I recall, it's not cheap.

A template designed storefront where you can build category and product pages sharing a central shopping cart. Costs start at 50.00 monthly for a 50 items store. No real advantage on the general Yahoo listing and some SE robots have problems indexing sites due to Yahoo Robot.txt file excluding them. Items for a 10.00 monthly fee caan be interfaced to yahoo auctions. Taakes some time to build sites with HTML enhanced pages.

Thanks both for replies.
EcomCity.com do you have Yahoo stores? Are they worth this price?

PerfectG,

If you're looking for a decent shopping cart setup I would recommend OsCommerce

It uses php and MySQL so its fast and best of all, its free. If your host doesn't give you access to MySQL then there are plenty of hosts that do. It really is just a matter of changing a few lines in the setup script and uploading it via FTP.

One of the hosts that I use WorldZonePro even has an earlier version that you can set up simply by clicking a button!

If you are interested in taking a look I can set it up on my server space for you to play with. PM me if you are interested
