Does anyone have any ideas as to what sites I can go to and get free pictures to use on a comercial site. Most of the ones I am finding that are halfway decent state for non-comercial use only. Jpg's, gifs, animated and others. Also any good ideas for midi's. Thanks for any help you can give.

I was going to suggest a site and got a deluge of popups. I take it back.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Gordon, I tried google but they have that disclaimer that the pics may be copyrighted. I checked on some of the pics I liked and the site was no longer there. Hmmmm, this is a pain.

Elisabeth, I don't like the pop-ups but I can deal with them if they have some decent images. I like to think I am the quikest draw on the net when it omes to closing pop ups. <IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon6.gif>

Dynamoo, thanks I'll check that out. I think it might be worth paying a small price for compared to all the time I am spending searching.

Anyone else care to share their favorite free image sites???

I've been looking around for images too. Freeimages.com seems to have some nice photos of landscapes, sunsets, flowers, etc. but I didn't see any that would be good for business.

If you don't mind paying a little bit ($8.95/web pic) royaltyfreephotos.com has a pretty big selection.

    Good luck!

    Avoid art today.

Two years ago I paid $75 for use of their images. Supposedly as I saw fit. I have gotten multiple emails from them demanding images be removed because they messed up their agreement with someone, and offered images they were not legally allowed to offer. Thanks! They were extremely unprofessional about it so I never removed any images because I was within my contract with them, too bad they weren't.

Hi Gordon, try this url http://www.webplaces.com/html/clipart.htm

You'll find a heap of art places, mostly free & most for commercial sites, it's just
a matter of going through them and finding what you want.
