My case is a little different, I haven't seen a sale for *any* affiliate network.
Mainly because my site is new and tough website rules and requirements from the most popular search engine.
I still need to figure out how to draw traffic - that's my main problem.

Congratulation RH&A on your first sale and more to come.
I add nearly 70% of SAS merchant products (removing mostly cj links) which I joined about a month ago and still waiting and hoping to get my first sale soon.

I tried Shareasale for a week as well and got absolutely nothing. I know, not much time to tell, but I mention it to say that it's not the affiliate program that makes the difference, it's how you're using the ads (something I have yet to figure out).
There's gotta be a better approach, and I'll find it eventually. But for now I'm making more from Google Adsense than I am from CJ or LS, even if it's only a couple bucks a day.
My main money-maker has actually been affiliate _product_ links from Regnow and oneNetwork (basically same company owned by Digital River). They have some nice coupon offers for affiliates to use on their sites, and I've been getting about $20 a day from those since adding them a few days ago (e.g. http://www.prosoftapps.com on the bottom right). But that's still not very impressive.
I didn't mean to take away from the original poster's enthusiasm. That's really great news and I know the rush you're talking about! Just trying to provide some realistic stats from my experiences as well. I made $150 on June 1st right after putting up my site and thought this was going to be EASY money! Well, that turned out to be a complete stroke of luck.... didn't get another sale until early July... groan.
So it can be a long road. Keep those exciting wins in mind as motivators, but prepare for a marathon not a sprint.

I think creating a website is like writing a book. You create it and let it sit, and if it makes money it makes money otherwise just let it go.

The merchant was teammascot.com
It was on a college football site targeting a specific team. My traffic is low for the site, but has tripled since adding this falls football schedule utilizing every SEO tip I've learned over the last couple of years. I'm ranking #1 on MSN and #6 on Yahoo when searching for this teams schedule. - Sorry I can't be more detailed - I'm still a noob and can't give away what success I have had.
