August 11th, 2006, 09:05 PM #1Affiliates using email links.
While browsing I have come across many Affiliate sites who are using Email Links on the webpages. CJ mentioned that its now allowed to use Email Links on web pages, but I see affiliates doing that, even some big Affiliates. This is happening after CJ announced LMI. Anyone noticed it?

What are things to look for to tell the difference between email links and html links?

You will also find some affiliates that say no to LMI, but are using the LMI links.
You will find some affiliates that say no to parasites, but they're working with parasites.
You will find some affiliates that say that they're dropping a network, but most of the links you would see are going to that network.
Ect, ect, ect.........
So don't believe everything you read, just do what you think is right, and without crossing the line, unless you're one of them....

as cj is so pushy on publishers to use JS links.
i do not understand why they still allow merchant to send html links to affiliates in email, at first, i guess is it because it is something impossible to do ?
and when i test to get some links, i try the email links to me function,
all links send to my mail box in JS format (with the url extension inside the JS).
Thus, it is possible.
Then i really cannot undertstand what cj think right now

I spoke with a cj rep yesterday regarding tracking issues, told her I was using the legacy links, she said, 'oh, that's fine!' like it was not a problem at all...

ask you referring to using email link on website cannot be tracked ?
if using legacy link on website, should not be a problem, as cj still allow us to use it at this moment.
