I just got an interesting email from a potential customer who wants an item from Poozleanimus and was looking for a quantity price break.

OK, we don't do price breaks really in affiliate marketing, but she was looking for 10,000 to 100,000 units at around $1 each. Naturally, that's a fair chunk of commission

Time being of the essence, I emailed the merchant affiliate program and explained that I had potentially a substatial order for an item and would like to close the sale and make some commission (but I didn't pass the details on). I then emailed the customer back straight away.

Has anyone else had experience of this kind of deal? Can anyone give me some guidance on how to do this? Purlease?

No experience Dynamoo,

But I'll be sure happy for you to make some big bucks on this deal !

You could ask the merchant to create a special page for closing the offer on the client with commissions tracked at CJ, but this is just sleepy me, so better ideas may come ; )

I wish you the best of luck with it, but the ones I've been party to have always fallen over....well, that's what I've been told.
Just a thought Dynamoo - Why don't you see if the product is available for dropshipping then you can fulfill the order yourself?

once again, I'll push The Thomas Register - thousands of manufactusers, who also import items that are to be sold to resellers....check that site, you might find a manufacturer for the item, and increase your profit margin. Many will 'drop ship with no markings' to protect your sale...just a thought.

Before building a single page a friend showed me his 'Thomas Register' WOW...
That thing was at least 24 volumes BIG. Every single manufacturer of every single proguct... Immense amounts of DATA!
Good call EC!

Dynamoo, I'm just wondering what country they are from? I get quite a few of those emails and all have turned out to be bogus. Hopefully that isn't the case for you.

After 30 years of putting together these types of deals within the computer industry ..beforewarned..commissioned sales people can never be trusted to honor the deal. I've never had any luck on acting as a middleman for these types of deals if this is envisioned as a continuing revenue share plan. No salesman will cut you a check out of his own pocket if he can get around it. All distributors who setup shop within my Mall and sold hundreds of thousands of dollars in goods ...never honored the agreements when it came to pay up or shut time.

Just doesn't pass the smell test.

Where are they from? I get E-Mails from Africa promising great potential wealth... sounds like the same come-on.

Please ask yourself, "If they want to buy hundreds of thousands, why are they asking YOU?"

If there is a good reason, by all means proceed.

If not, be careful!

Just my 2 Cents
