    Barbecues.com google on site
Was looking at joining barbecues.com program...they have google ads at the bottom of their pages, they are so well integrated that I "almost" didn't even notice them!

Yep, they also have a nice big fat leak to a "smoke" web ring after the Goog ads. Sweet partner, huh?

I'm beginning to see merchants with leaks as bad lovers - they're sleeping around and exposing their loyal partners to diseases. Time to move on ...

I bet that most merchants have no clue that serious affiliates would never join a program that has a web ring.

The very presence of such a thing as a web ring screams of n00b.

Most merchants may not be thinking of affiliates in particular when they decide not to have web rings, but at least they have, somehow, come to the conclusion not to put them on their sites.

I think all of the sites owned by that company have Google stuff on them. Even with that they still convert so if you chose not to promote just because of that you're losing out on some good merchants.
