    New Statcounter Feature
Anyone else using statcounter? They have added a feature where you can see your recent visitors locations on a google map. Pretty nifty...one of my sites has visitors up and down both coasts and the middle states are almost bare!

Not necessarily. The statcounter can pull the person's ip address and verify it with google maps. Everytime you hit a site, your IP will be recorded w/ or w/o cookies.

    statcounter by MSN? or statcounter.com?

You just put the code in your page and it doesn't show any kind of image or anything on your pages??

I use Statcounter as well works great, however I suggest putting the code at the end of your pages so it does not slow down your page load, some time (not very often) their server is slow. But they are the best free hidden counter I have tried.

If anyone is using statcounter, make sure that the privacy policy on your site synchronizes with what statcounter is disclosing.

I added SC's code in my bottom navigation include page which is on all my pages. Works great. I haven't noticed any slowing of pages with SC.

I have to pay for the privilege of using SC. - It's fine and worth the $10.00 per month - I'm happy to pay for sucking up excessive bandwidth. ;-)

Rhia7, statcounter uses a cookie to track unique users - what is so earth shattering bad about this that you have to post a warning againt statcounter? It is pretty standard and no reason not to use the service.

It is a great service and I love the features. Invisible counter, great stats...I highly recommend it.
