Is CJ replacing 25% of it's workforce or is it expanding?
I recently read (Forbes.com I believe), that CJ has 100 employees. Well, a recent search at Google for jobs available at CJ shows 24 current positions open. I wonder if these are replacing people, brand new postions or some of both. It is quite an interesting list of openings. This much turn over in employees could explain why CJ is having so much delays (1-2 weeks) with support questions from publishers. It also could be a sign of other things going on....

    Account Director, Strategic Accounts
    Account Manager
    Account Manager in Online Advertising
    Account Representative
    Account Representative
Account Representative - Jr. Online Marketing Role
Agency Channel Manager in Online Advertising
    Client Support Representatives
    Java Software Engineer
Program Manager for an Online Advertising Leader!
Program Manager for Exciting Online Advertising Company
    Program Manager in Online Advertising
    Program Manager, Strategic Accounts

    Program Specialist, Strategic Accounts
    Publisher Channel Director
    Sales Executive
    Search Business Development Manager
    Search Business Development Manager
Search Program Manager for Search Engine Marketing
    Search Program Specialist
    Senior Data Warehouse Engineer
    Senior J2EE Java Engineers

Each of the above are seperate job opening, not duplicate listings of some of the same positions.

I bet the affordability of Santa Barbara is one reason.

Besides those that didn't go with the LMI as a "Good Idea" were shown the door.

Not sure how big LinkShare is, so hard to put it into perspective, but they only have seven positions open (note the Java developer opening):

    Distribution Services Manager
    Application Administrator (BI & Analytics-ETL/EII)
    Application Systems Analyst (Java/PHP Developer)
    Human Resources Associate
    Account Manager
    Inside Sales Representative
    Technology Sales Executive (Client Development)

There was a lot more than that a year ago. Much more.

Just think about it. If CJ treats their affiliates and merchants the way they did by dumping LMI on us and telling us it was MANDATORY, how do you think they treat their employees?

CJU still not full. I have never seen it go this long without filling up. Usually it fills up in a week. It has been over a month since they opened registration. That speaks volumes about how people see CJ right about now.

Six months ago I was considering CJU for the first time, but that all changed with LMI.

Good point about they way CJ could be treating people. But remember, CJ was bought out by ValueClick and they are now calling the shots and I'm sure there are big internal changes as well as the exeternal ones we see, like LMI. We've also seen an exodus of top CJ management lately, too.

CJ is bigger than you think, but it looks like it's a combo of turn over and expansion. The old CJ is one thing and the NEW CJ different. Are these all listed as Santa Barbara openings...they have more than one office ;-)

Between LMI and messages like the one below, and the spin they try to put on everything and not getting answers to questions or avoiding them all together this is a whole new CJ that is sure not like the old one.

While we realize that having inactive publishers in our program is a given, one thing we don't want is a program that becomes weighed down by publishers not promoting us
Gee, I'd hate to weight down one of your programs. It probably takes up a whole 10 bytes of data in the database for me to be in there. More and more it seems like it's time to start weighting down other CJ programs by switching out CJ merchants for other merchants or sending the sales through other networks.

The network, the interface and the merchants are great but the new attitude there stinks.
