I had some spare time today and decided to take these bags of clothes to the Goodwill. So I drive up there about 15 minutes away and picked up the reciept at the front desk for the items I was dropping off which is for my records. I filled it out while I sat in the car so that I wouldn't forget what I dropped off come tax time. When I finished the form, I drove all the way home and as I proceeded to get out of the car, realized I hadn't dropped the bags off. Duh!!! What the heck type of crazy mess is that??? LOL!!! Goodness gracious - I'm only 30 years old. That's pretty scary.

Jada...somebody once told me that is a sign of genius...your mind doesn't sweat the little things....kind of like locking your car doors and leaving the windows down

Confusing? A little like driving your wife home from a night club and turning into your girlfriends driveway. Now that would be hard to explain your way out of...

It would. But explain this: - Buying something in a shop and routinely forgetting the change *and* the thing I went to buy. I've had shop assistants running after me for a quarter of a mile or more!

Then theres the 25 mobile phones I've gotten through. The details would be too harrowing for most readers.

I would dearly love to think this was a sign of genius Tom, but thats is not how everyone else seems to regard it.

The phone insurance people were certainly less than Impressed and initially thought I was selling them on some Phone Black Market.

"Two in the bath!?"
"whaddya mean fell in a cup of tea?'"
"Broke when you bashed a pervert with it?"

I have a certain amount of sympathy for them. If gormlessness equalled intelligence I'd be Nikola Tesla, but I fear it is just a sign of ungroundedness.

I went to the grocery store today for diet sodas. I put into my cart:

frozen yogurt
bread
butter
precooked dinner

and went to the checkout. As I was putting the last thing on the checkout counter I noticed something missing. Everything went back into the cart and at least I really finally did get what I went there for.

But I'm almost 57, what's your excuse?

<IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon38.gif> I'm 65, and really I believe this website stuff is keeping me sharp as the proverbial tack (with notable exceptions).

Tell you a little story. My ex wife and I had a place up the California Coast and I'd just turned 55. We had some junk to take to the dump which gave a half price discount to people over 55.

I showed up with a load, and told the lady I was entitled to the discount. She wasn't buying it. I got carded at the Mendocino Dump!

I still say it's because we all fall into the genius category
