    College Football Starts Today
For those that didn't know or were buried in their work. Nothing major today, good stuff on Saturday. I'm a ND fan so I think they'll be National Champions this year

Trust..NOOOOoooooooo! Not a ND fan?!? haha. I'm a USC fan. Born and raised one...both parents SC graduates. So I bleed a hatred of ND... And just about every single one of my buddies is a ND fan and it kills me. I will be attending the SC/ND game this year up at SC. I hope this years game is as exciting as lasts. I went to the game two years ago with all my buddies and sat in the ND booster club section in all my SC gear...talk about awkward. lol.

    GO TROJANS!

post 23 and 24, I stopped posting after that. ND ended up losing but one of the best games I've seen minus the outcome Brady is a Heismann candidate this year, this could be the year. Almost beat USC when you had Leinert and Bush and they're gone now It's going to be a good game this year. ND has a very tough schedule as usual tho.

Buckeye alumni here...not liking the preseason #1 and SI curse at all especially after losing so much on D. I like the DLine and the LB's should be solid but DB may be rough.

Go USC! I think ND might have more trouble than expected this year. Their defense was slow last year and they didn't pick up a lot of speed in the off season. If they lose to Georgia Tech it could get ugly quickly in South Bend.

    Fight on!

So when do we start the debate about a playoffs or no playoffs? Guess we should wait just a bit

The Irish and a few other teams like Tennessee play absolutely brutal schedules. UT's first 8 games are against bowl games. As much as I hate to admit it, it is legitimately possible for them to be 1-7 just as much as it is to be 8-0.

It's a shame in football you lose once or twice and you are out of the picture.

Yeah, (23) Tennessee play (9) California today. That doesn't look good for the Vols.

Watching Michigan-Vanderbilt right now. Michigan only up 6 in the 3rd. I would think it would be much more since Vandy lost Jay Cutler.

Texas doing good but they're playing North Texas. They're ranked 3 right now but have a freshman QB. So they should lose some, probably next week when they play Ohio State.

USC, only bringing back 4 starters on offense from last year. But I hear they have a great bunch of receivers.

6 more hours before ND slaughters Georgia Tech

    Yes you did Trust

What a great game for Vols fans. My favorite site of the coming fall is 106,000 orange-clad fans singing Rocky Top.

    How 'bout them Vols!!!

Notre Dame is not looking good against this GT defense. Looks like they're about to go down 10-0.

edited to add 14-10 ND. That's more like it. TD called back, next play TD.

Makes me wanna let out a WOOOO Rick Flair style

They truly opened up a can on Cal. Vols fans remember the last time UT was ranked this low in the preseason was in 98 (my sophomore year there). It was the year after Peyton Manning left and I think UT was ranked 20th.

All that resulted was a National title

Notre Dame playing Penn State in the next few minutes and then Michigan next week. Couple of tough matchups.

27 - 0 Notre Dame winning. Going to do a little ND gear shopping.

edited to add a woo hoo, Did you see that fake punt at midfield that almost went for a TD?

USC fans better hold on, Yahoo sports section.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/news;_...yhoo&type=lgns

Personally I don't think USC should suffer any sanctions. That's for any school if they have no knowledge of misconduct of their players. Didn't read the whole thing, must sleep, will check it out tomorrow.

Yea, talks of USC suffering repercussions of this situation have been going on for a while. I don't believe that is fair for any school, if in fact, they had no knowledge of the whole situation.

Don't feel too bad...watching that game I truly believe Michigan could have beat any team that day the way they played. They came out with a fury and determination to dominate.

Anyone happen to see when USC's running back Ryan Powdrell dislocated and fractured his ankle?? Looked freaky and painful as hell.

Yeah, turnovers are a killer, 2 in the first quarter didn't help. I missed the first minute of the game and USC had already run back an interception for a TD. I guess they can win the rest and finish it off by beating USC in the last game and winning their bowl game This would have been the year to have their greatest shot at the National Championship since it's Brady's last year.
