Here is our hot topic of support requests today asking if this is legit...It is not, so don't go and delete the file

(BTW, This was my solution to putting an end to scumware)

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>Good morning;

I got this message this morning and found the virus on my C drive. Please
follow the instructions and delete the file if its on your system before it
executes. I checked mine and found it so am passing it along to those of
you on my email address book.

Tom,

jdbgmgr.exe = Microsoft® Debugger Registrar for Java

Me thinks the claim is bogus!

Oh, I know it's bogus (thought I included that in my post). When these things go around, we get tons of e-mails from people (many non-clients). Usually, they have already deleted the file, then ask us about it :rolleyes: There are several variations floating around, all using different windows files that are legit.

Haiko,
By the way, this is similar to a post I made in the Parasite forum (I think). When we were discussing getting rid of a particular morph file that overwrote the cookies. There is enough people in these forums to fix that issue by sending out a few of these e-mails
