So CJ Misses Another Downtime edited (Not)
Forgot it was supposed to be today and like the last time, nothing:

"Scheduled site downtime on Tuesday, September 5 at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time

Due to system upgrades, the CJ Account Managerô will be unavailable starting September 5, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time, until approximately 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Tracking and recording of transactions are fully functional when the site is unavailable. When the site returns your reports may be delayed for up to 24 hours. If there are any changes to this schedule we will post them to the site to keep you informed."

We should take wagers on the new announced date. I say Sept 12. Let's see who can get the closest.

I think CJ is just doing this to keep us from complaining to our merchants about the current default JS links. And to think I removed my anti LMI avatar today prematurely.

You know, I contacted CJ after the last "failed" attempt and they told me it was not a failed upgrade, but that CJ wanted to give their clients 72 hours notice of an outage so they can plan appropriately for it.

Hmmm, wonder what caused this NONfailed attempt?

I wonder if it's going to happen before CJU starts in less than 2 weeks.

Well, let's all remember that it was several weeks ago (about Aug. 17th) that CJ announced this change. I'm guessing they are going to drag this out as long as they can to keep us at bay and stop the severe negative publicity that they were being bombarded with prior to Aug. 17th.

I'd be real curious to hear from any AM's or merchants as to what they are hearing from CJ about all this. If you are afraid to post publicly here, send me a PM and I will post it without your name or merchant name. Hopefully you merchants are hearing something about all of this and are not in the dark like us affiliates.

Maybe someone from the Publisher Advisory Board can find out since CJ is now all about communication and stuff

It was down for a while. "Account Manager Unavailable At This Time" or something like that. I don't know for how long though, I only checked once.

Well, maybe they did do the upgrade. When I got to Get Links in CJ I now see there are two opportunities, Get JavaScript or Get HTML.

Can it be they did this in record time and we did not even realize it? That is so unlike them.

But what I don't understand is under HTML links, when I get the screen to pick and choose the link options, Image URL is http://www.advertiserserver.com/advertiserimage.gif

    What the heck is that?

The CJ Account Manager was down when I tried to access it a few hours ago. I also haven't had any sales report for a few hours.

I certainly hope reporting is delayed, too. Otherwise, it will be my worst day in the whole year!!!
Everytime they do update stuff, my sales stinks!

As far as reporting, that's addressed in their message:

"When the site returns your reports may be delayed for up to 24 hours."

Hope it's delayed, it's been the best day all year, except after Zappos reversals, it'll probably come back down to just above average.

Strange thing is that yesterday evening I showed a number of sales - this morning 1 sale had just disappeared from the quick stats, and now it seems to be stuck in the transaction reports again together with other sales!! Also my balance is not what it should be. I know that they said it would be 24 hours for reporting to be back to normal, but I'm going to download and save the transaction report just in case. At least I'll have proof (I hope!). Sure hope they haven't screwed up anything else.
