Do you use chat boxes, tag boards, shout boxes (there are many names to describe the same thing: a little box your visitor can post comments to)
on any of your web pages or on a blog?
I'm not even sure it's worth it to have one because one of my chat boxes got spammed big time and I couldn't even edit it (I found out I had to pay to edit) so I just removed it from my blog.
What are your experiences with chat boxes or do you shun them all together?
Any time I sign up for one of those chat boxes, it will work for a week and then the company will go out of business or something
Do do you use a reliable one? I'd only be interested in a free one

Shout Boxes aren't that difficult to make.
The admin stuff would be more secure of course but I just put a link to it so everyone can play around with it. I have to leave for the day/night but I'll put together a zip file with the files and directions so if anyone that wants it can get it.
It does require a mysql database.

Thanks for the suggestion, Chet ... maybe someday I'll figure out how to create one of those things
