    Approved! for Linkshare program
I just received two emails from one of LinkShare's merchants, approving me into their affiliate program.

I do not have ANY accounts at LinkShare. A couple of months ago, I took the extraordinary step of contacting LinkShare's legal counsel, who assured me that he personally verified that all accounts which carried my name or email addresses were purged from the system, and I should no longer receive these "approvals" which were coming more than a year after I attempted to close my last LinkShare account.

This continues an extraordinary sequence of "approvals" from LinkShare merchants, in response to affiliate applications submitted (I believe) in April 2005. Again, I have taken every possible action to close these accounts, and LinkShare's staff have assured me more than once that I should never again see any emails from them -- and yet here again, not one but TWO approval emails sent through the LinkSynergy mail system.

Clearly, I need to check my email filters to try to figure out how this got through to me, but far more clearly, LinkShare and its merchants need to try to find a more intelligent way to run their businesses.

There's more than one list at Linkshare.

There's the contact list we see when we log-in...

and the lists kept by various reps - who don't seem to update them on their own

Perhaps you've turned the key to success in getting approvals Mark. Just ask them to cancel all of your accounts and then they want you even more!! The old rejection or take away approach. LOL

Is that related to the "walk away but still bargain approach?"
