    I'd suggest something local like Outlook 2007.
    If you want web based go with SugarCRM Free Edition.

    I should have clarified - it is both.

    You would need to download the open source version, extract it, upload it to a directory on your php hosted server, install it along with its mysql database and you'd be good to go. So it does requires a small amount of FTP and mysql knowledge.

    Good thread, Vrindavan! I am looking for a replacement of my corrent PIM software too, and would really appreciate other people's feedback on what they are using for it (not necessarily free options).

    As usual I suggest anybody interested define their basic requirements first. I say this for a couple of reasons. One - because I do this alot with commercial and government entities. Requirements - even loose ones -are very important up front. Otherwise you end up chasing everybodys suggestions when you could just weed out what does not meet your basic requirements up front. Even I am guilty of chasing the latest and greatest tools. I am a geek - what can I say.

    Two: Recently I was involved in a thread over at another website (http://caseysoftware.com/blog) talking about business recovery. He mentioned that since he does most things online/web based when his hard drive started to flake on him recently it was not that big of a deal. His contacts, email, et. are all "online" . If his machine fails he can just hop over to another internet based machine and keep on plugging.

    If you are interested in that kind of business recovery (Think about natural disasters!) then you might only want to look at online solutions. This is where SugarCRM would come into play. There are plenty of other good solutions out there too. I hear the most recent version of Hotmail is very good. It actually works alot like desktop Outlook (which I LOVE). Of course there is Gmail, Yahoo, etc. etc.

    Business recovery is one of the reason I started looking into Affiliate Marketing in the first place. But that is a story for another day.

    Stumbled across this when I was browsing a web 2.0 directory and was reminded of this thread.

    http://30boxes.com/

    It's got a todo list, calander and a neat macish interface. haven't used it yet so can't review it, but the first impressions seem pretty good.

    Have you tried the new beta update from Yahoo Mail? They implemented it this week. It has a to do list at the bottom of the page when checking your email. It works great for me

    Vrindavan;
    You can make a "customized google homepage". I think it is a link at the top of the main google page. Check it out. You can add a todo list, calendars with a reminder feature, sticky notes, and many many other neat little helpful tools. It loads whenever you get on the internet and is always just a click away.

    So Vrindavan,

    It looks like you have decided on a web based solution?
