Anyone out there receiving british pound (sterling) checks in the USA from a UK affiliate network? How/where do you deposit them in the USA?

It may depend on the type of bank that you have your account with. I would think that any of the "national charter" banks could take that deposit for you.

I do not have checks to deposit, but I have done foreign currency exchanges with my bank and credit card transactions are automatically converted by the bank. There are fees to handle foreign currency transactions and they may hold your check longer than normal before releasing funds..

Thanks for the comments - but is there anyone out there who's actually done this?

Try encouraging those EU networks to direct deposit. That is the easiest.

ShareASale is making progress to wire monies to AUS and CANADA. I think they are doing the right thing.

Just deposit it at your bank. They'll charge a conversion fee (my bank charges $2.00) and you may have to go to the service desk instead of a teller window, but there should not be any problem.

Hey, come on down here. The London Bridge is at Lake Havasu, Arizona. They got to have a limey bank there.

Thanks. Have you tried depositing UK checks with "Account payee" written on them. Those are the ones I'm having problems with.
