Of all the crazy @ss things to sell on the internet I thought shoes would be the last thing. I remember hearing about selling shoes for a very long time but refused to even consider it. After all, how do you buy shoes without even trying them on?

My mall site includes about 7000 pages of collectibles, a good 200 pages of electronics and maybe 15 pages of shoes and a few pages for bassproshops.

I sold a couple gadgets for Andy and made one sale for Lou which was all dwarfed by shoe sales. Big Time!

Who in their right mind would buy shoes online?

    Somebody like me who knows:

Exactly what type/brand of shoes she wants and Exactly what size she wants!

Those that don't know what brand/size they want and still shop online I can't explain.

But when the specifics are known, it would be a lot easier to buy online, at least for hard-to-find sizes. Personally I've bought my shoes through the mail (paper catalog) for years. It beats the heck out of calling 10 stores looking for the darn things, only to find that the one place that has them is an hour and a half away! Who needs to bother with that?!

I suppose that true. In fact I was just out shoe shopping at the local mall and finding mens shoes was a joke. Nearly every buyable pair I was interested was sold out for my size. I wear a 10 and 1/2 which is pretty normal for a man. I don't know why but all the stores had nothing but size 7's.

Not to many men where a 7  So yeah I guess now that I think about it. Buying shoes online seeing as they are readily available makes sense.

Guess where I go for my next purchase.

Try finding EEEE widths offline. <IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon9.gif>

You will know anew why people buy online.

I have started buying shoes online because I really *despise* clothes shopping, and this way takes all the stress out of it (plus this website sells quality skate shoes with huge discounts).

The first pair I ordered I was very happy with and they fitted. My second pair are in the mail right now so I'll wait and see if I was just lucky last time. If not, you can always just send them back.

Sigh... I used to think nobody would buy online, now I think people would buy just anything online except me. If I can't see it, feel it, touch it, it's hard for me to open the wallet.

I try shoes on my site for the sake of trying, and ended up around 20 sales a month. Reversal? Lucky to have an average of 5%.

Don't ask me how it works though, all at a sudden, things just started to rock, and I'm still trying to figure out what I did right.

    Hi
Well its not that daft an idea. I know that our company buy a lot of stuff on-line and get it delivered next day, saves me having to go into the City, wait in a que, be told the item is not instock etc.

We even order BOOTS thru the same company, ok they are industrial working boots with steel toe caps but they are still footwear.

I am sure that you can buy anything now on-line, you just have to try and find it.

    regards
    John

    Angry Shoes Online
about why people in there right minds shop for shoes online, most of these sites have free shipping and free return now. I Started buying shoes knowing what i was looking for, but now i buy anything that I like when i see it!

Ive been buying shoes online for a year now, zappos is overpriced up the ass for me. shoes.com is good, [SPAM REMOVED] is good , and shoebuy.. lets just say im never going back there again. i usuualy get my dress shoe from shoes.com and i have [SPAM REMOVED] for my athletic needs. they have a good selection of size 19 athletic shoes.
    yes, i have big feet

but you know what they say..

Big Hands + Big Feet =

Cool but before you go any further, don't start bumping a lot of 5,6,7 year old threads. Had somebody do that a few days ago, had to time them out.

I've never bought shoes online. It is probably one of the last remaining things for me to get off the web. I guess I should give it a try, since I am in the market for a new pair of running shoes, and I can never find what I like at the mall or big box stores.

Here I thought Heyder was posting and I was real curious to see what was beeing said as there had not been a post from Heyder in a couple of months. False alarm.

Here I was all set to post "if I can sell dirt online, why not shoes?" when I see it's yet another ancient thread. These creeps are getting really annoying.
