    Unhappy Locked In?
I was just wondering while testing some of my merchants links I get locked in and cannot back out. I have to go out of my browser and start all over.
This is annoying for users who click on from my site. Anyone know why?

I believe this is called mousetrapping which isn't really an ethical way of keeping traffic though it is used by some merchants. I'd be careful of merchants who mousetrap their customers - what else are they trapping them into?

Here's an article on mouse trapping that's pretty useful information:

Hmm...just because they are a merchant doesn't make them an honest merchant. You always should be weary of who you're partnering with and/or advertising for. I guarantee you that if an ethical merchant were to find themselves partnering with an unethical publisher, they would shut them off immediately. It should be no different the other way around.

    Best of luck to you.

Another thing that can seem to disable the Back feature, is if the links are popping in a new window. If the window's new, there's nowhere to go "back" to.

I know a lot of sites used to do this along with pop-ups/under but people are dropping this as they develop their site.
