    Affiliate Newsletter - Suggestions please!
I've been trying to write a totally revamped affiliate newsletter this month. What do you guys think?

I have a lot to say, so it is pretty long, but I hope it is well organized and useful. Would you like to get this in your inbox? Would you read it?

    Thanks!

I like the information, but I guess my only concern for you is one I have sometimes...

If you give too much now and things slow down, then you end up with nothing in the next newsletter. I always like to leave a little in reserve

Also, I would make the introduction a seperate email...try not to overload them with too much at once.

    My two cents at least.

Good job though and congrats on the new gig.

Yeah, I've taken that into consideration. I did introduce myself in a seperate email already, so I got that covered.

I was put into this position to revive this program, so I feel I need to put what I've got forward to start getting some results. If I have to slim the newsletter down later, that's ok.

    Thanks for the comments!

    (Don't take this personally) but...

some of us immediately delete the long ones

Make a short and sweet one, with a link to the full newsletter for those with a lot of free time on their hands to actually read the whole thing

Ha! I can understand that. There is a link at the top, so people can read. I want to try out a couple different formats. And of course, this is only going monthly and the others won't be nearly this long.

What do other people think? Long or short? Full info or a link?

    Also Jasson...

We get a LOT of merchant emails...

and we KNOW which ones contain usefull information we can use - and which ones are... uh... merchants with nothing to say - but must be required to send out an email

So make your first ones usefull... so you avoid the "Oh not another email from them" syndrome

    Good luck

I hope to do exactly that. I have no requirement, so I'm only trying to communicate when I have something to share. Build some trust no?

You can make portions of newsletter links to a host set of pages and cut down the length and copy. That way you have all the information available and can look at tracking to see which links are clicked for future reference.
