    What sells on Xmas?
I have a question: What sells best on Christmas?

I'n the last couple of years Xmas was a bad period for me since I do financial services, people are not interested in that kind of services during this part of year.

What affiliate programs should I try to use this Xmas?

Gifts!!! Lots of gifts are sold every christmas! - then, there's gadgets, toys, clothing and home decor products. Actually, Everything sells during christmas! Just promote retail merchants and that'll help push santa down your chimney

And - here comes shameless plug - Did I mention Gifts sell during christmas? The Gift Shopping Zone affiliate program has over 10,000 giftable products you can sell!

Question is not that you have 10,000 gifts.. its a case of Does you site convert.. nowdays I wont join a program unless I know DAMN sure that the site converts and that the merchant isnt a rip off merchant.. Im tired of working my ass off for $0

toys, check out eToys.com - Linkshare

allaboardtoys.com (I met these guys and they are great people to work with) - CJ.

Allaboardtoys should have a datafeed as they submit it to price comparison sites...not sure about etoys

Ask about 10 of your friends or family members what they have bought online for christmas presents. Also ask them what they might possibly buy online in the future and what they would NOT ever buy online.

I have bought toys online - it was nice to get all the kids toys in one shipment. Also I have bought specialty gifts online that I could not get in your average store. I bought some flags for someone once.

Cheesehead, that is great advice. And something else a little off topic but not really Sit down and watch a friend shop online. Or a family member. Have them start just by saying "You want to buy a gift for Dad, what would you do". Or have them start at your site to go shopping.... you find out stuff you didn't want to know, but stuff you NEED to know.... The friend test has helped me tweak many websites.... and figure out what products need to be ON them and FEATURED

Did you just arrive from another planet? If an affiliate can't answer this themselves, then maybe McDonalds is beckoning...

That's an honest question Dapyx so don't hesitate to ask. We all start from some point. Asking is one way to get helpful information as Eric, Lox, and Cheese have offered.

As you are a financial services person, perhaps you have not had a pulse on the retail market the past couple years. Perhaps this year, you have decided to get a little more serious about diversifying your efforts. Either way, good for you! This club is open to members of all experience levels.

Those who avoid asking questions (they want to ask) because they fear criticizm - lose out on a valuable resource, so hey - ask away!!!!

Good Luck On Your Diversification Efforts!

Loxly, I have worked with the AllAboardToys guys before in early 2000-03/04 but not worked with them within the last year cos of my job, etc. They were once on LS and moved to CJ and I had to change my links back them. I moved away from the toy category site due to time. So i guess you are right and have a point, I have not researched them recently. I am going to go drink the humble wine

I you sell financial services, your big season could be Jan - April, or if it isn't, it could be with some diversification. Tax planning, organizational stuff, etc. End of the year planning help could be a great way to pick up new subscribers, write new articles, etc just ahead of the new year.

You might also have a captive audience already for Corporate gifting and Bowling trophies.

    Thanks for all the tips!

I will take into consideration all the niche markets you've told me.

Abestweb is still the best place for affiliates!
