    Layout-o-matic
This isn't exactly a template source but it's handy if you'd like to create your own:

    I guess my layout-o-matic suggestion didn't capture anyone's enthusiasm ?

    *sigh*

Perhaps a free template site might possibly be of interest?

Do you expect to always get a reaction Rhia? Sometimes people look and don't comment.... they aren't all as ... enthusiastic... as you are.

Most of their templates are more than one page, they usually include a top page and at least one, if not more, inside pages as well.

I checked it immediately and got a Site Advisor red popup. It said that a video link there can compromise browser security. hmmmm? Anyone know if it's a link that can be avoided while we look at the rest - or do we retreat?

It doesn't cause that prob on my main computer (I use Zone Alarm) and earlier this morning I was on someone else's computer & I checked again.

I don't [knowingly] recommend sites that cause probs.

The site has ugly sized ads on it, but of course the webmaster most likely is trying to monetize the site.

The Layout-o-matic works and not everyone can come up with a CSS solution themselves.

If you have better suggestions, by all means -- trump me

Not trying to trump anybody. I just really like McAfee's site adviser and it doesn't like that site.

When I was learning html, css and page layout I would look at template codes and identify the pieces of code that were controlling color and tables, etc. and then use them over and over until I figured out how to customize. Your site looks like it would give you that code to study.

    My favorite: http://csszengarden.com

These are pages created by designers going for the WOW factor (which is usually quite over-the-top), but you can download the css stylesheet for any design (there are hundreds) and see what it takes to do something unusual.

Oh, man - I forgot about the book. I didn't even know the book existed until one day I was killing time in a Borders. I swore I would go back and get it when the time was right and I forgot. I do that.

I sometimes delay buying books I see because they stack up and get forgotten in the pile. The piano can only hold so many "currently reading" at a time. Every few years I do some serious weeding and often find things I forgot I had.

    Thanks for the reminder.

It's at the library too (ask for inter-library loan if it's not at your local)

I borrowed it first from the library and then decided it was good enough to buy

It's a really nice book (lovely illustrations) -- you can even put it on your coffee table

That's what I remember - it was like a duplicate of the site, but in coffee table format. Our library is excellent, so that's a good idea. Our library has shopping baskets, which I need - I usually pick up 8-10 books a week.

templatemonster's templates are not made to be used, but to be purchased

(removed url- looks like a template monster aff site) templates are as good as templatemonster.com ones... Beautiful, but hard to use for a website.

If you are looking for something free, Open Web Design has some nice basic templates that can easily be modified to fit your needs.... provided you know a little css.

YOU ARE ALL CRAZY HERE OR WHAT ???????

I ask a question. No answer. People just say blablabla. Nothing interesting, and nothing to answer my question (Q: How old are you ? A: I'm living in London. Very great !) And even one suspect me to promote a product which was only an exemple (no affiliate link was used, not even a normal link !!!)

I then post a link in this thread to HELP someone. Link removed !!!

IT IS NOT AN AFFILIATE LINK. AND THIS SITE IS NOT A TM AFFILIATE SITE. I know the owner, and he's using the same indian designers than TemplateMonster (both purchase an unlimited right to use some of their templates, $200 per template)

This forum is not worth the wait. I will delete my subscription.

No need to ban me. I ban me myself.

    Remove my posts and thread.

You are serious people. I am not...
