    What are your Favorite Blogs?
What are your favorite blogs? Are there any you visit daily or even numerous times throughout the day? Here are a few of my favorites:

    http://www.techcrunch.com
    http://www.mashable.com
    http://news.com.com/2060-12572_3-609...=nefd.blogCaro
    http://www.comparisonengines.com/

My taste tends to revolve around web 2.0 and cutting edge web technology. Techcrunch is by far the most popular and best updated of the bunch. If there are any others in this niche that I'm missing I'd love to hear about them.

He does have quite a following doesn't he? I didn't list him in my original post because I don't visit his blog daily. He usually doesn't offer information that interests me too much. I do find him helpful in explaining how certain aspects of Google's algorithm works though.

I doubt it. It's akin to KW spamming. Black Hat A$$ kissing...

Here's an interesting one: Lessig Blog

Lawrence Lessig is the founder of Stanford Law School's Center for Internet and Society. His blog balances popular culture with cyberspace laws and more.

Oh, and a really good one is Pandia Search Engine News

A personal favorite for "bare bones" current events (interesting in its organization) is leaveifyoucan

Scott do you feel there is much room for comparison shopping sites. I mean the main ones seem to have dominated that area have they not?

Of course, there's always room. You just need to innovate and provide something the others don't do or don't do well.

I sometimes read www.SEOBlackhat.com and www.SEOEgghead.com, but nothing with any real regularity.

I don't read any blogs anymore.

I used to like one by an Aspie in Singapore. Her cracks about Singaporean social idiocies were hilarious! But, she stopped typing.

Then I found one by a guy who lives "off the grid." I loved it--he was so *different!* Not that I'd want to live like him, but it was very interesting to read about a TOTALLY different lifestyle than is normally even talked about.

He typed from a laptop with some kind of wi-fi setup. He was into being totally anonymous: No ID, no credit, no utilities, basically doing a pure-cash jobless lifestyle. Yet he didn't seem to be doing badly for himself, at least in terms of life satisfaction.
Had all kinds of tips on finding stuff (sometimes really valuable stuff) in little town dumps, how to find land to squat on, how to make a shower out of an old truck tire...
All kinds of stuff. And it was nice to read about it without having to challenge my own massive aversion to "roughing it!"

But, he too stopped typing. I guess he went somewhere out of range of wireless internet.

Since then I haven't bothered to look for any more.
