MSN Broad Match VS Google Broad Match
Maybe I'm not doing something right here, but it seems that MSN's broad match feature doesn't really work too well. For instance, if I have a keyword like "blue widget thingy", and a user types in "blue widget thingy with whatnot", then my keyword should show up in the list.

The problem is, is that the keyword doesn't show often, and when it does, it's many pages deep (even though I'm bidding for #1 spot). I then created some more broad match keywords just like that one - which kind of defeats the purpose.

Anyone else notice this? Does it seem correct to you?

I suspect they may be doing some tweeking also. On MSN campaigns that we run on other projects the broad match is not returning near the traffic we were getting up to a month ago. Our positions in SR is good, so I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what I can find out.

Great, love to hear what they have to say. Something is definitely foobarred. I did another test (for keyword: "blue green widgets") using a phrase "widgets blue green", and my keyword doesn't show at all (CPC and budget are pretty much maxed).
