    Zango President on MySpace
So I'm browsing for other Seattle-based affiliate marketers on MySpace and who do I find:

    http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endID=21216786

Daniel Todd, the president and co-founder of that "wonderful" (yes I'm being sarcastic) company Zango. I love the fact that this guy went to not one, but two Christian colleges. Guess he didn't learn very much there, especially that part about "Thou Shalt Not Steal"! ;-)

Myspace was owned by Intermix (before NewsCorp bought them last year)
Intermix is the company Spitzer filed suit against for being adware and doing bad installs
Not surprises seeing adware folks on Myspace IMO.
Now the really funny part. http://publications.mediapost.com/in...&art_aid=49249
Founder of MySpace is trying to sue to get the sale of MySpace reversed because he says NewCorp under paid for it.

I didn't know about Intermix. Thanks for the info.

I actually posted this because I found it funny that the co-founder of one of the scummiest adware/spyware companies went to Christian colleges. Sounds like money trumped morality for him. ;-)

It makes you wonder about education.
    This is still bothering me:
"Ebates was founded by two former Deputy District Attorneys who take privacy and security very seriously. " But they don't see anything bad about stealing other affiliates' commissions

Zeus, I'm totally with you dude! But...

Lawyers consider the law to be their guidelines in business and currently, the "stealing" that ebates does, is not against the law. They know exactly what they can get away with.

It's why I generally dislike lawyers - they often don't see (or choose not to see) the difference between legal/illegal and right/wrong.

Lawyers go to law school to figure out loopholes

Now, if I quote famous lines from Shakespeare would I get into trouble?

(People who get the joke will get the joke/laugh; people who don't get the joke -- I don't feel like explaining it)

Hasn't anyone old him the lord shall smite ye, if thou continuest in these unholy abominations of theft and whoredom?

Maybe he's gonna buy some "christian morals" with the millions he's made from being a scamming shyster.

Well there is definitely a difference between doing the moral thing and doing the legal one.

Let me tell you if somebody steal my money, he is a thief and I'll treat him like a thief. It can be morally or legally acceptable, he's still a thief.

I'm also not surprised. I've encountered folks who trumpeted being ethical and yet do things that are completely opposite.

I ran adaware today on a fairly newly installed computer of my own. I had like 10 zango things in my registry. I never installed it and never went to their site with that computer. I wonder how it even got there?
