    Seems to me ... Opportunity exists
    To a degree, I do this myself but ....
    I only deal with a couple of million items.
    Now if GC or DFF, dealing with mega-millions of items, were to offer a service whereby a user/subscriber could pull links from multiple vendors across multiple networks for say "vampire costumes" ... could be most interesting eh?
    Now you already have the feeds; already have the "select vendors" ... how much is left?
    Little except execution.
    Added value for "free of 4th click" merchants ... extra incentive for members.
    Log in, select merchants, enter search phrase ... ability exists to span networks?? Would have to be too kewl.

    Hi Cozy,
    If I understand correctly you want to build a page with the search results of “vampire costumes” from multiple merchants of multiple networks. This feature already exists in GoldenCAN.

    When you create search integration for multiple merchants you can add the keyword in the code and the results will be returned only for that one keyword.

    Is there a way to do a keyword-based display with the non-spiderable javascript code?

    If you use the "GetData" PHP or RSS code, you can do it.

    It would be nice to be able to do non-spiderable displays as well, to avoid duplicate content issues associated with using merchant-provided descriptions and naming conventions.

    Yes you can do that with the javasript also.

    let's say that you have created a search integration for multiple merchants and now you want to display "sony dvd players" search results from all different merchants in the middle of the page where you have written an article on sony dvd players.

    this is the search integration code generated by GoldenCAN
    Code:
    <!-- GoldenCAN Search Integration Code Start -->
    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"

    src="http://si.goldencan.com/search/display.aspx?
    SID=2c18a1dd-cac1-4222-9599-d19bd192b66c">
    </script>
    <!-- GoldenCAN Search Integration Code End -->

    You need to append a parameter st=sony+dvd+player at the end of the code like this.

    Code:
    <!-- GoldenCAN Search Integration Code Start -->
    <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"
    src="http://si.goldencan.com/search/display.aspx?
    SID=2c18a1dd-cac1-4222-9599-d19bd192b66c&st=sony+dvd++player">
    </script>
    <!-- GoldenCAN Search Integration Code End -->
    and your page will have the serch results of sony dvd player from all the merchants in your store.

    This is great! I was actually just about to start adding some specific "comparison" pages on one of my sites - I think this will cut down my workload by about 95%!
