Post The Internetís Biggest Google Whores
My coworker and I were reading about Digg and technorati and came across this article. Just sharing it:
    Read the article here
Some people are making big bucks!!

    From the article:

The following is a list of the Internetís eight biggest Google AdSense publishers. The information was compiled from interviews and articles found on the Internet. Whenever possible, I list the source of the information.

I apologize in advance if I missed anyone on the list. If you make more than the people listed, please send me proof of your Google AdSense earnings and I will add you on the next time the list is updated. This is a list of individual site owners - people just like you and me. Big corporate AdSense publishers like AOL are excluded.

    1: Markus Frind: PlentyOfFish.com - $300,000 per month

Markus Frind is a local Vancouverite who is turning the online dating world upside down. His site, Plentyoffish.com is the biggest free dating site on the Internet. Plentyoffish.com receives up to 500 million page views per month and make over $10,000 per day for Markus, who runs the site from home.

You think a site this big would be staffed by a hundred people but the only employee that Markus has is his girlfriend, who helps to answer the emails. Markus coded Plenty of Fish all by himself. The site is lean and mean and requires only four servers to handle all that traffic.

Doubts about Makusís Google earnings were silenced when he posted this $900,000 check from Google. According to Markusís blog entry, the check represented two months of AdSense earnings.

Making ten grand a month puts you in Adsense's top eight????????? WOW, I would have thought it would be much higher than that.

I don't feel so bad about my pitiful Adsense checks now. Of course, on pages that make money I don't put Adsense, so I will most likely never make their top 8. I sure thought their top ten would be a lot higher than that!!

    Their Top 10 probably is.

True. It's gotta be something like that. I would be amazed if 10 grand is in their top 8.

    That was $10,000 a DAY....not a month.
    It was $300,000 a month.

Not quite Leader, lol. You might not make the amount some of the top people are but you can surely make enough to have a nice life and do it for a living. And unlike the lotto, it's something you have control over. It's up to you how much you can make with it. Adsense, affiliate marketing, every other method out there for people to make money online, there's no cap on it. Plenty of people making good money with Adsense.

However, top sales-site people can make puh-lenty, too, and have control over it.

Yet whenever people see big c*ntent sites making something, they start thinking it's King just for producing results that may or may not be as good as comparably-sized Revenue sites.

And before someone says, "but it was easier for him to get traffic," that's not necessarily the case. The world of content is chock-full of sites that get 0 hits, and with boring variations on a theme, just like other types of site.

I wouldn't be surprised if the odds were actually pretty Lotto like once all the 0 hit sites out there were figured into the mix, even though the webmaster has more control over things.

Nobody is arguing that. That's an old discussion, sales vs. content sites. All types of sites can make good money.

I thought it was totally against Google TOS to reveal what you made per day, per month, per anything. Did that change?

I think what they don't want you disclosing is clickthrough rates and amounts paid per click.

Went to the article. Dang. Now you've got me spinning my wheels again trying to dream up some new scheme.

Its title as King of the Dot Bombs is undisputed

But Revenue will always be the King of successful businesses. For proof, just try paying your bills without enough of it!
