    Mod_rewrite help needed
I just can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Any gurus feel generous in lending me a hand today via pm? I am wanting to create url friendly static looking pages from my php pages.

The first mistake I see with mod_rewrite is people on IIS servers, you need special plugins for that, if in linux, make sure its enabled under apache (some hosts don't).

Here's a great place to see examples of how people use it to solve different naming issues:

Dirk Gardner's LEGENDARY thread here at ABW - discusses how affiliates use mod_rewrite when creating database driven websites:

(this is a long thread, the mod-rewrite part starts at post #44)
