    Dream Car
There seems to be number of petrolheads here on ABW, so I thought this might be interesting.

It's the marque that's important rather than the model, explanations of why -especially the "Other" category particularly interesting.

    - Can't edit the poll it seems, meant to add:

    Ford GT40 http://www.fordvehicles.com/fordgt/home.asp

    Dodge Charger http://www.dodge.com/charger/home_static.html

I'm not a huge fan of sports cars, but M-B SLR McLaren is what I would go with out of all the ones listed.

Sorry - I have a European view - I knew there'd be some classic American cars I'd miss.

Thanks to the mod who added the last 2 options

I'll need to negotiate a few commish raises first!

I went for the Lamborghini Murcielago. I love Italian cars (though the Aston Martin has a huge pull too), it's about the whole thing with this - started off making tractors and then decided they wanted their own Ferrari beater. Italian cars and especially the Murcielago have an element of madness about them - half car, half space ship.

What I really want though is the world's most beautiful car the - Miura

Thanks, Geno and Paul. Only problem is I already voted for "other" so unless someone can cancel my previous vote out I can't cast a vote for the '65 Mustang. Which by the way my father bought, used, when I got my driver's license. Soft top, racing green, black interior. I got really popular that year.

Just fixed all of that for you, transferring your "Other" vote to the "Mustango"

    Any one except:
    Catherham >Not my taste
Mustang >Every Tom-Dick-Stanley is driving one
Hummer >I am looking for a car, not a liability. (I heard that the US Army is looking to drop the hummer as the official work vehicle)

Neither of my two choices are there, so:

    1. Lamborghini

    2. ANY car that Pamela Anderson is in the passenger seat

I neither of the above is available, a Plymouth Prowler

Edited to add: Oops, saw the lamborihini affter i voted for "other"

    so other = -1
    lamb = +1

For me right now with all my 6 other family members...
A brand new Chevy Suburban, loaded. (As opposed to the 7 yr old one we can afford)

    Just me...
An extended cab 4x4, loaded. Would have to think about which one though.

I love trucks! And I like to be able to haul my own stuff.

There is no mention of the finest and most technologically advanced sports car of all time on there. The Porsche Carrera GT is bestowed with 72 patents and is basically a Lemans racer in street guise. The car is simply magnificent.

So I vote for the Carrera GT in absentia.

BTW, the engine sounds like an F1 car

The proper URL for anything pertaining to classic musclecars is www.get-in2.com/musclecars/

I'll have to Add in performance specs and photos of the new Shelby GT500 Mustang. as for pure joy in daily driving, this one would be tops!

Cruise it up and down the road
My dream vehicle is not listed as an option in the poll. My F 350 7.3 L Turbo Diesel Crew CAb is still my favorite vehicle of all time! I've had 25 to 30 vehicles over the years, mercedes, porsche, audi, SUV's, vans, jeeps, etc etc., but none of them gave me as much pleasure as my pickem up truck.

I actually still look forward to driving it every morning. I have a remote start - so on cold mornings I hit the remote and then finish my coffee and then step into a warm cab! I also tow stuff like horses, boats, flatbed trailers etc., which also plays a big part for me.

I love my truck..... I admit it...
