    This is one of the main reasons I'm staying clear of the content network with adwords and focusing on search only.

    With only a couple of times trying the Content sites and watching the Live Chat now monitor for a couple of days. It appeared to me that many clicks came to my site and just sat on the page then left.

    I will not advertise on content sites with my AdWords or Overture account.

    Im not too keen on their Country Filters either. I only specify US Sites yet I continually get clicks from ca.google.com, google uk .

    I can't figure out how if Google can't get this right how much else is a scam for advertisers.

    (Sorry you guys with content sites) become an affiliate.

    The Biz Week article is interesting - although I'm not sure how accurate it is. In the past month, our content clicks have gone down nearly 70% on one of our other campaigns; and that's after nearly two years of running that one. Despite adjusting content bids way up - the content clicks have remained low the past week.

    In talking with G - the scripted reply from the rep is that they made major changes in their content partner networks back in early September? She then went on to say that "in most cases, there are only three positions for content ads - so you need to be in the top three to appear on the content partners sites?" Accordingly I adjusted bids to get into the top three for content - ands alas, no change.

    I don't know enough about G to make an informed conclusion, but something is whacky. I'm standing by for further developments / surprises. In the meantime we're concentrating on G search.
