When was the last time anyone got a sales activity from Dell links? They run seperate programs at Linkshare and BeFree and I see nothing since last November. I warned the networks and Dell, with no response, that their shopping cart could not handle 2 seperate network reporting tags at checkout. Result I assume is Dell figured, out as the premier diversion merchant, that having 2 networks would increase affiliate impressions, clicks and negate or hender sales reporting. Real win-win for them.

I posted a reply to this thread this morning, but for some reason it was deleted.

So once again, I will say that I have had poor luck with both Dell Home and Dell business. Neither program (LS or BF) seems to be working for us, as it had in the past with LS.

Also, when Dell Host left LS, they left oweing us $ 300+ dollars.

My two cents worth on sales with Dell.

I do O.K. with Dell Home, results are nothing out of ordinary. Not much traffic to Dell Biz, but I've seen sales when there was traffic.

Would any of the network reps care to peek into Dells sales logs and find out if they report daily sales with 25,000 affiliates.

Mike,

Check for sales...what planet do you think this is - OZ.

25,000 affiliates generate a ton of FREE advertising...helps lower the overall cost so they can send me those $3 catalogs every month.

Just for grins, I thought I would throw up an example of Dell for everyone. These are my numbers before I put them on the back burner (or they quit):

Dell Home Systems: Imp=13,499, CT=103, sales=$0
Dell Small Business (LS & BF): Imp=5,287, CT=18, sales=$0
DellHost: Imp=787, CT=7, sales=$549., Payment from merchant=$0 Yes, their program closed and we were left holding the bag as always.

As you can see the Home Systems were put on more active pages, where we have more consumer content.

My point here is that Dell has been a dog. You choose your own path, I am sure it works for some.

I just checked my YTD results for Dell. Averaging $1/click for Dell Home, $1.50/click for Dell Smallbiz. More than enough clicks to both for meaningful EPC values!

Well BluesX, I sure would like to know your secret, because I sat down, clicked through my links and ordered it for my wife's sister and her grandpa, and didn't get not one red cent, and I sent them multiple emails. So the heck with em, I'll just sell tigerdirect stuff.

Ah... I don't think there's a secret at all. But if you do not try to buy through your links, I think it'll figure.. I also try to sell TigerDirect, unsuccessful so far. (Used to be able to sell a $44.99 item, they increased the price to $49.99, it is still $44.99 at PC Mall, I can't sell it anymore)

Dell performs quite well - they can rip-off affiliates with the very best.
