"McDonalds recently ran a contest for winning a free MP3 player for text messaging a code. It appears that 10,000 people won an MP3 player and couple free songs. What they didn’t account for was winning some free spyware with their player."

Andy, great information. Imagine McD engaging in this kind of antic!! Why in the name of pete would a big corporation that programs kids minds do such a thing? That would be tantamount to Enron pulling some kind of shennigan to deceive the public and enrich their officers!! Unheard of - - - - - NOT!!
Thanks for the info Andy - corruption knows no boundaries. But darn it - they still make the best fries!! LOL

If this is really a situation where McDonalds was "played" by a vendor the way that the story states, I would imagine that McDonalds is going to bury that vendor. If someone thought they were going to pull something off like that on McDonalds without getting killed, they didn't think that through very well.
McDonalds' name is on the line, so they either better start spinning this, or show some force on the vendor that did it quick.

the more mainstream this all gets, the closer we are to a revolt / legislation / change.
so i'm happy to see this story.
now if microsoft's development office catches a virus, the pentagon website gets taken over by hackers and botnets devour university computer labs, maybe finally something will change.
the shiot has got to stop, it's way, way ridiculous already.
i love McD's, but am glad they got burned. head's will roll. exposure follows.
and right before election time - even the timing is good in my opinion.
