Agh.. well, it's worth contacting your ISPs abuse team in advance of anyone complaining. Most anti-spam tools will ignore the "from" address anyway and dig for the real ISP.

    Walleye,
This happens frequently, but there is also another possibility. Any chance you are using Matt's formmail on your site. There are issues with an older version that spammers love. Sends mail from your domain. Is this a possibility in your case.

Most likely it is somebody who has your email address in their address book and that person has the W32.Klez virus. I get emails and the email address on those emails is my very own email address, for more info on the virus Click Here

No I use a form for feedback from responsomatic I think its named

This same spam I have recieved a few times prior to this so it was recognizable.

I'm not really up to all the info listed but a common url # that kept showing up was for a law office in UK. Not the type of mail you would expect from them.

While some things are certainly virus related at times, its the low life scum sending this crap in the first place who should be responsible. If it was a virus and if they didnt have my addy on their scam list in the first place none of this would go on.
The returned e mails are still trickling in 8 hours later.

    Walleye,
Just a suggestion. As somebody else pointed out, be sure to notify your webhost and ISP that somebody has forged your address. Better for them to hear it from you than get a spam complaint. Next, if somebody contacts you about spamming them, be sure to reply and explain the situation to them, particularly that it isn't you sending the spam and the 'headers' were forged. You may have explain to them what headers are, or at least explain the using of your address. If you get a lot of them, it wouldnt hurt to do a cut and paste of the same letter to them all. I recommend trying to be polite. Some of the e-mails you get will be rather nasty in nature, and you will be called all kinds of names. Those are the ones I would reply to 'I understand your frustration, but here is what happened, etc'. This will save your butt when the ISP's look into it, and it may even actually generate a little business for you.

I hope you do the right thing and send the spam reports (take yourself to court - you might get a settlement).
