I found a negative to Affiliate Marketing
It took me a while but I found a reason not to like Affiliate Marketing...

    It's bad for my diet

Last week we had one of our affiliates in town to visit and so we bought cookies and snacks for the conference room for our meeting. Mistake #1

Then we went to Stoney River Steakhouse. I HAD to have to filet topped with crab, right? Mistake #2.

Then we just had to go out drinking. Mistake #3 which led to Mistake #4 - ending up at Taco Bell at 3am.

Now I have all these cookies and snacks and you know I HAVE to eat them all

Thus, I have found a reason to hate affiliate marketing

Anyone have an affiliate program selling WILL POWER?

No, but we do sell Xenical!!

Actually, one of the best times I ever had with a client was back in the early eighties when two good ol boys from Tennesse came to Denver to meet with me. Funny thing, everytime I'd say something they liked, one or the other would quip: "well give that boy a cookie!" Hearing your story, it sounds like cookies are a big part of life in the Vol state!

Glad you had a good time - I hope also that it was profitable for you Matt.

    Alan,

Cookies are indeed a big part of life here. But Moon Pies are MUCH bigger!

We did have a great time and I am almost recovered

Moon Pies? You have not had a Moon Pie? Oh this is terrifying...just kidding

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_pie

they are amazing! They are made in Chattanooga, Tennessee and are a southern tradition for sure.

I am reading a business book now called "MoonPie: Biography of an Out-of-This-World Snack" about the rise of moon pies in the business world. Pretty interesting stuff.

For those who don't know (aka Yankees )

A "Moon Pie and an RC Cola" is about as Southern (read: Redneck) as it gets.

Great, this post has managed to offend Yankees and Rednecks...oh dear!

Moon Pies rock but I could never handle the banana ones, only the chocolate ones. RC cola rocks too.

Sounds pretty good to me! I was thinking they might resemble Whoopie Pies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whoopie_pies) - I always eat those when I'm in Maine. Mmmm!

A daily Carne Asada burritto with a Coke, followed by some Ghirardelli Caramel Chocolate squares is healthy...right?

    yummm.

The only negative thing I have found so far is nothing, after I have learned to munch on healthy snacks instead of sweets.

The Carne Asada burrito does have EXTRA cheese right? If so, yes, of course!

but are you a VOL fan?
real southern depends on your football allegiances.....You are not supposed to be a Titans fan...according to some of my southern rules. The pro team is for the newbies in the area.

I AM a Titans fan somewhat but mostly a Panthers fan, being from NC!

I went to UT so I hate Bama and Florida.

    rocky top!!!!!
Vols are okay. I am Auburn. I ignore bammer as well - as they have not been a factor in the SEC since they were cheating.

Gators are okay but they are getting more sensitive all the time. All of my siblings are Gators. They are okay.

Right, I'm intrigued by these moon pies, as have never seen them around here before. Will have a moon cake instead. Must be the same.

All this talk about moon pies and no one has the sense to mention hands down what is the single greatest trickity treat of all time, squirrel nut zippers!

Edit: To Nick: Moon Pies are somewhat hard to come by these days. I live in Orlando and its really few and far between that you find a convenient store that sells them.
