    Altering links
    Hello,

I am redesigning my site with xhtml and want my pages to validate so I have been changing the "&" to "&" within my affiliate codes. Has anyone else done this? Any problems?

    Thanks,

    Jenny

Like you I am one to go for validation, but I have learned to let it slide in the affiliate links. I had trouble with one of the network's links and can't remember which. Everything else I do is by the w3c.

    Thanks bumpaw,

I think you're right. I have found myself a bit perplexed by how often it seems that the links we are given are written incorrectly. Small thinks like capitalizing "img" or leaving out alt="". Why is that? Or are these things incorrect only for xhtml?

I've taught myself most of what I know about web design and I know that means there are probably big holes in my knowledge. I'm just trying to do my best, you know!
