    Couldn't read your thread
I want to read the thread "Question about CJ URL" posted by dc495. But it kept sending me to the page with a big blue best web logo and this message:

    Page Not Found!

    GO BACK

    What's the problem?

I think it may be due to the reason I put a html code in the link and it's actually trigged by the forum to transfer it to another link ... now i have no way to fix it

    My question is this:

I noticed that a lot of website like dealsea has the format of link like "http://www.dealsea.com/exec/j/3/629/?arg=...". Does anybody know how they did it? Is there a software for this?

I want to hide the orignal link from CJ and replace it with a link on my website. One solution I can think of is to add a temp page on my website like:

    http://www.dc495.com/test.html

then in that page, I can use the Meta property to forward it to the actual link from CJ. But I do not know how I can do with the < IMG part. I know the < IMG is used for tracking the number of times the page has been loaded. Does anyone know if I put the < IMG part in this test.html and put the < a href part in the Meta part is going to be ok?

    Thanks a lot

people need to stop posting affiliate URLs

Your own = fine if you want
Others = Don't do it ever

    search for jump script
    mod_rewrite
    iisrewrite or isapi_rewrite

There are different ways but they revolve around usually have a link table (or list), one of the rewrite methods and a jump script

I think one or two have even been posted on here a while back.
Also, I think designerwiz posted one here too. Not 100% on that though, I know he posted a bunch of tools.

Sorry im not more help, but hope the gets you started looking in the right places

Can also use custom 404's too ... I did that with one site and it did ok, but I shy away from that method now.

in regards to the img tracking pixel, i dont even bother with that anymore.
I do my own tracking. If a merchant absolutely requires it I will leave it, but for nearly all the ones I use, they dont seem to care.
