Should I see Search engine listings after using the GetDATA
I've been using GetDATA for several weeks now and a Google search for "Garmin StreetPilot 2620 Portable Automotive GPS Navigator" on my domain turns up zero results. But this is clearly listed on my Amazon page. How long does it usually take for Google to index the site with the GetDATA info?

Might be more of a Google question than a Goldencan question.

True, but the whole point of the GetDATA feature is for SEO optimization. Just wondering if anyone knew how long it took for this to take effect.

But the GetDATA isn't going to do all the SEO for a site or page, it's just that it isn't obscured from crawlers and the text is spiderable. But there's more than that to seo.

Has the page been crawled? Is it indexed and cached yet?

Doesn't look that way. I search for a long string of text that is obviously unique to my page and Google doesn't show the page as a search result. Again, it's been weeks since this page has been live.

And I'm not expecting this to be my only SEO, but it should appear *somewhere* in the list.

QC, how deep they crawl depends on a few factors. How many pages are on the site, how deep into the site (like clicks away from the homepage) are these pages, and what's the PR and number of backlinks to the site?

I have had some success working on deep links, or links to internal pages of a site, instead of just acquiring links to the index page to get a full site indexed. This is often overlooked, but looking at it from a logical point of view, most search engines want to reward natural things, and it isn't natural for all of the links being pointed to the index.

    Cool
look at your site logs every day.

I see Inktomi/Yahoo Slurp hitting every possible file in the database that feeds your goldencan links while google seems to visit each site page only at first. I'm expecting google to do a deep crawl whenever it gets around to it. could be months, based on present experience.

google is not the only game around . . . important to remember.
