Search engines are always tweaking the algo and when they do, things shift from time to time.

It's always been like that, or at least in recent memory. You could bid to #1 on, for instance, "Prada Handbags", and somebody with higher bid than you on just "Handbags" or "Prada" is going to be displayed ahead of you.

I've noticed a slight increase in Yahoo traffic over the past couple days. It's quite refreshing since Yahoo rarely does this for me. Hope it sticks through the holidays!

I had a severe Yahoo drop for a week or so and now it's come back even more than before it dropped!

Have others seen this? What do you make of it? I find it kind of puzzling.

One of my friends at yahoo just said try to place the keywords into the ads to make it rank higher with spending less. Like title and copy, which could be good, but at the same time, that might draw less targeted traffic and people who are just researching. I could go on about the benefits and disadvantages about this for hours though, anyways a good thing to think about is how to make your campaigns in the new system effective since it is a pretty drastic change.

I am in the process of doing a google adwords type optimization with our yahoo account but with tweaks to meet the needs of the new system to keep high traffic off of certain words and phrases while keeping others down.
