As a matter of interest Herb, where does one look for site log files?

it should be part of your hosting package. mine lets me go to the control panel to download a site log (text) file every day. (from the previous day)

this is kind of raw data and takes a while to get used to, although there is software available to parse it and consolidate the information for you. i dont use it.

I use the find feature in IE to search on particular things I'm interested in seeing in the log file. I can see the 'bots hitting individual pages or links within them and I can see what visitors were looking for, sometimes.

if the link: command returns no data, it may be the site is too new. or just that google does not have it in the current index. this can change. I've had sites that were virtually ignored by google, only to show results months later.

I see results when using the link: command in Yahoo.com

Quite right, Google's link command is not accurate or very useful at all.

However a google site: command shows a more happy outlook for your site.

I don't see any in Google, 1 in Yahoo, a whole bunch is MSN (2,444) but a lot of them look like auto link exchange type stuff, not sure if that could be the problem with Google and Yahoo.

On a side note, you need work on your title tags, they all are:

    Bruidsmode Haarlem

    or

    links

    http://www.google.com/search?q=site:...&sa=N&filter=0

That could be a problem, I clicked over about 7 pages and stopped, I'm sure there is more. Link page after link page with "links" as the title. Not sure what you got going on exactly but it's not working for Google and Yahoo.

Well after clicking on one of those pages, I can see the problem besides your tags all being exactly the same. Looks very spammy.

Also moving this to the Google forum.

TrustNo1 you are absolutely correct, I didn't look far enough with the site command to notice it (my mistake).

This is a problem that needs to be rectified pdq. Sort out your title tags at the very least willemijn. They need to be different for each page and reflect what is on each page.

Site is already indexed by Google. As far as link:www.domain.com concern, normally Google update the backlink 2-3 months difference and your site is relatively new since Google has update their backlinks.

Wait for next Google backlink update.
