    Very slow loading of pages
Anyone experiencing very slow loading page with gc script.

I tested quite a number of my pages having gc script and they all load very slow, time ranging from over 30 seconds to more than a minute.

I then go to gc homepage and it took more than 10 seconds to load and when I go to the login page it took more than 30 seconds and also to my store after login.

My line connection is fine as I can go to other websites fast with no problem.

    Thanks
    Richard

delay for opening a page here via DSL that I've made with GC is typically 18 seconds and can vary by minus two to plus five seconds. This is for a merchant's data where I've set GC to show the entire inventory.

    Hi Herb,
I just checked and everything seems to be working fine. Are you still seeing any slow page loads? can you share any specific page which is loading slow?

Quite improved! most merchants come up fully in 1-2.5 seconds, with a few as late as 12-13 seconds, but only a few.

Glad you asked. I would have answered sooner but just saw this thread.

    Thanks Herb ԿԬ,

I wonder why GC select only certain sites to solve the problem and not the overall situation. Maybe I am the only one with this problem.

    Thanks
    Richard

I suspect the structure of the merchant datafeeds could have something to do with it, but some I've used in GC with over 50K skus load nicely just the same.

    Hi Richard,
All of the GoldenCAN pages should load faster and with the same speed. Every merchant's data feed and category is optimized for speed individually. I am sorry to ask for the same thing again but I will appreciate of you can email me the URL of the page which loads slowly and we can have someone look into it right away. Sometime just by checking the one URL we are able to optimize many things and make the system better everyday.

    Asif,
This is very helpful! Could you make a separate post of this and pin it? Maybe title it "Report Slow Performing Pages to Asif" or something like that.
