    Creating an affiliate network
I have been thinking about starting up A CPA affiliate network such as CPAempire.com, but I didn't know where to get started. I looked around on this forum and found a few clues. First of all I need a script. I came across the post affiliate pro script and it looks nice but am not sure it is made for creating affiliate networks. Are there any other scripts out there for starting up affiliate networks? Also where do these affiliate networks get the campaigns from? Are they basically an affiliate of some other bigger affiliate network or do the merchants actually sign up with them or is there like a big database of advertisers out here? Any pointers are greatly appreciated.

Ditto. Hundreds have taken this path in the last year or so. Most appear to have been a waste of time, both for their owners and their affiliates. The types of sites they tend to promote are probably the only winners.

Perhaps consider creating a site that gives you an iPod if you sign up for 5 expensive products, and then promote your site on a CPA network?

This is a good thread to study if you are interested in learning what many ABW-ers think of some CPA networks.

Wow, so much negative energy toward CPA networks on this forum. I am a newbie but don't really see why everyone is trying to bash on it. If a CPA network provides me a better rate and less hassle than directly dealing with merchants, then why not use it?

I already have network of sites that offer free things for signing up for products and services. I go through a few CPA networks for the sites I am running. I want to start a CPA network, bc I will get better rates than going though an affiliate network since they take a cut off the commission received from the merchant. Anyways, instead of putting me down, please give me advice on how to get one started, if you can.

    Thanks

It's more that you're a newbie wanting to start a network but have no idea how. Networks are hard to get off the ground, usually successful ones have very experienced and knowledgeable people behind it. And there is already a glut of them. It's like "Let me find a script so I can start a network" C'mon.

It's not just about finding a script. Like I said before, I just needed pointers. Everyones has to start somewhere...

Don't really see a market for another one. I can't find anyplace where affiliates are saying "I wish there were more CPA networks out there" They're all over the place. What are you going to offer that's not already being offered by the many CPA networks already out there? How do you plan on competing?

Sorry, I can not share that. I am not saying I have a radically new idea but I have found a little niche that will work for me. If it doesn't work out, oh well. I rather try it out and not work out than not try at all.

You're a casino lead gen punk and you don't understand what it takes to do business in general. You don't listen to good advice. While I dislike CPA networks, you are seriously underestimating your competition - they're going to eat you alive.

I haven't visited here in a while. Why are you so negative and always mad??? You obviously have a lot of time in your hands and think mighty of yourself. Thanks for your help Mr. Donut but I have found the information I needed some where else than this forum (where people are actually helpfull and positive). And if any newbies would like to know more info, contact me using my user name and I will chat with you. Oh by the way, telling friends about your site is not a crime!

Good luck in life, Mr. Donut.

There's very few "make an affiliate network" platforms out there. I've come across one from Alstrasoft and then there's DirectTrack, which powers quite a few aff. networks. Then there's LeadHound. If you know of others please post.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards,
    Peter
