    Stating your affiliate status
Newbie Q: Is it suggested to clarify somewhere on your site that you are an affiliate storefront, a collection of links as opposed to an independent shop? If so, is this best done on a profile or FAQ or terms page? I feel its best to be clear on this to the visitor from the get-go but have not seen a lot of sites do this. Is there a reason? Does it discourage sales? Any legal factors?

I'd say people don't state it because they don't need to. If you are adding value for your users, if there is a reason your users go to your site over the merchant's directly, then it doesn't matter if you are an affiliate. You've got what users want and that's all they care about.
