    Snowing in Central Florida
I am too close to the water to see it, but inland we are seeing snow right now. It is in the 30's and we have 30-40 mph winds.......BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

OK, now Rhea and everyone else up north can call me a wimp! My motorhome is warm and toasty

Scooter, SNOW in central FL??? It's 71 in Denver today! But hey, there's no ocean here - so the tradeoff is worth a cool night here or there.

As much as I am hoping for a "snow free" winter it did snow in the Las Vegas valley when I was here in March. I was accused of bringing it with me from Rochester But as Scooter says, it didn't stick.. it was just there, hit the cars and ground, and was gone....

Talk about H*ll freezing over.... lol.....

Looked for pictures of this around the Internet, and all I could find were articles on "snowflakes in Central Florida". No pictures. Does anyone have pics (even if they are not sticking, there's gotta be a picture of the "phenomenon" - them falling down from the FL sky)?

Hahaha! I never saw snow in Florida. Everything else...but not snow.

Scoots, no way I'm gonna call you a wimp. I know about acclimating to the normal temperature range. Heck, when I lived there I'd put on my winter coat every time the temps got down into the 50s.

I think you guys are gonna be colder today than we are!!! Better make sure your propane tank is topped off!

    That's nasty!

But on the other hand, Ha Ha, maybe that's for all the times you FLers have said how "miserably hot" you were while we were up here turning into human popsicles!!

Also you can blame anyone who ever posted that they "wished it'd snow" while sitting in beautiful 90-degrees!

Scoot, I believe you, just went outside, I froze, and it's only 46 right now.

But, Leader, it's going back up to 80 this weekend, bought your house here yet?

Don't worry travelers, come on down to South Florida. Last time it really snowed here was over 25yrs ago.

I remember someone telling me it snowed in the Ft. Lauderdale area in the 1970s.

WOW, I need to look out the window more. I know it was cold yesterday and is today too. The wind was really cold. I thought when I moved here that I would leave all that wind chill and snow behind. At least we do get to wear some of our long sleeves for a few days.

LOL...but it means we have to do laundry that much faster. I don't know about you, but I own two long-sleeved shirts and two pair of jeans, the rest are shorts and short-sleeved shirts.

I was near Orlando one year when they had an ice storm. It was really something (and sad) to see all those orange trees covered in ice. It does happen down there once in a while, but really strange to see it happen right now when it is so much warmer up north of you.

Scott, you want me to send you a [affiliate] link to a winter clothing site? (hee, hee)

Cold enough to snow in Florida yesterday, but it is just over 50 here in Northern Michigan with highs of 60 expected for tomorrow.

    Talk about backwards! *LOL*

I remember about 5 years or so ago it was the same temperature in FLA as it was in Toronto, Canada. It seems winter there isn't always as nice as the rest of us think it must be...

I'm over here in the Tampa area and we didn't get any but it sure looked like it. It looked like November in Massachusetts where I'm from...gray and cold and windy.

I hear it snowed here in December of 1990. That was the last time. Before my time.

Still better here then it is in the NE now. I'll be playing golf here by Sunday in 70 degree temps.

    Stay warm brothers and sisters.

i built a snowman this morning.
stacked two tiny granules of snow.
which might have been ant bait pellets scattered in my driveway.
    anyone have a microscopic carrot?

It's funny when people make snowmen here in Texas. Once in a great while, we'll get 2-3 inches of snow. When that happens, it usually melts later that day. But once in a while, the neighborhood kids are on the ball quick enough to go out and roll a few balls to make a snowman. Sometimes it'll take all the snow in their whole yard to get enough snow. The next day, everything is melted, except the snowman. That's hilarious to see! No evidence of snow anywhere, except snowmen in some of the yards.

It's in the 70s here all week, though. No snowmen here.
