    Ugh, don't mention the Holidays!

I think I need at least another year to get ready for them! I guess we will need to be putting those pages online pretty soon to have time to optimize them for the Holiday period, though.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to get busy!

Daddy, I want a Googlebot for Christmas.

Seriously, when does the holiday buying start in this end of the business?

eaglefire, I *just* posted a resource that will give you an idea of the season in the offline world (though, I recommend you go back to 2000 to see trends -- last year's trend is much too skewed by 9/11).

    Thanks Cedric!

Re: Beanie Googlebots - they'd at least be big sellers to the 5000 ABW Members! I'll take 15,000 - one each for new pages I've put up since mid-June.

No gifts exchanged for Thanksgiving, but there is other buying associated with the Holiday. Thanksgiving is primarily a celebration/travel/family/major cooking/eating/decorating day, with a sort of formal dinner slant - meaning the good china, table linens and silver comes out.

And remember, Halloween (in the U.S.) is second only to Christmas in house decoration sales!

That's right Dynamoo - Halloween, Thanksgiving, Yule/Christmas/Hanukah are all big decorating holidays. One essentially runs into the other so decorating generally starts in Late September and continues throughout.
