Thumbs up Sweepstakes Ideas for Men's Daily Newsletter?
With our SaS program, we've seen amazing success with our "win-a-bar-a-week" sweepstakes over the past couple weeks (1000s of entries at 80 cents a pop for our affiliates) but we'd like to put together more sweepstakes to draw people in.

I'd like to solicit your help in brainstorming some different ideas for sweepstakes to attract men 23-40 to sign up for our company's daily email newsletters on the best in food, drinks, events, services, and products

One idea we had was giving away a flat-screen TV with the entire DVD collection of South Park. We'd love to know if this would work as well as the current bar promotion or if anyone has any other great ideas.

    Thanks,
    John

    1. Billiard Table / Poker Table set.

    2. Awesome dating event that would make any man look like a stud.

    3. Chest full of Tools with those nice sliding drawers.

    That's my 3 cents.

Cool concept - I signed up. Looking forward to seeing how it works.

Thanks, Danny. Good ideas... I especially like the poker table idea. We're looking for something that will attract lots of people, but the RIGHT kind of people -- guys who work hard and don't have enough time to find out about cool stuff.

If you have other thoughts, feel free to share.

    Cool fishing gear
gift certificate for Cabelas or LL Bean.
    ski or boarder packages
    camping gear

The south park DVD's are catchy too.

** on the awesome dating event, don't let Danny fool you. His Brad Pitt-like looks would make the other guys feel like floor lamps.

Thanks Liz and everyone else for your suggestions. We're investigating many of the above ideas, especially:

    - The BBQ
    - Ski/Snowboarder Gear and/or Trip
    - Pool Table / Poker Table
    - Pilot Lessons
    - Gift Certificates for Clothing

Also, if anyone has ideas on this OR on incentives for high-performing affiliates (NFL tickets, fully stocked bars, etc.), please let me know.

    Thanks,
    John @ Thrillist

Gift certificates for home improvement (like Home Depot)...always a good, manly gift..

I gave one away recently, which drew them all out of the woodwork...

I surveyed the men in my life and they all agreed on the flat screen TV.

    Superbowl tickets came up next

One of them has a very nice home entertainment / bar set-up at home and what he's missing is one of those vending machines you can personalize with your favorite team.

Aww no Zenerx? You have no idea what you're missing... LOL

I'm glad you found some of my suggestions useful anyhow.

Let us know what works best. I could use that kind of feedback too!

    Thanks,

Another neat idea that I found in Men's Journal last month (the issue with Steve Irwin on the cover) listed stuff like Nascar racing days or something where you can pay this company to let you drive a REAL Nascar race car around a REAL race track (in a "safe" supervised environment of course)... it's about $500 but you get something like half a day or a full day of lessons plus actual lap time etc... I for one thought it sounded awesome and I know my hubby would DIE to do that for a day. If the man who wins it isn't keen on such high velocity adventure for himself it makes a great gift for someone else too...
