    Should I request a reward?
So I have a forum lot of traffic and a lot of spammers.

Lately I have been emailing google, various merchants and others about these spammers. Getting their accounts terminated and what not.

Today I got someones account terminated and the AM told me the account had a balance of over 3000 dollars. Should I request an award and get me some of that 3K

Probably won't happen even if I did request it lol.

I don't remember exactly where it was, but I seem to remember a merchant here once offering a 'bounty' of sorts to anyone who found someone in their program actively cheating. I would say that would encompass busting a spammer.

Scooter - I just noticed the change in your location listing.....

HG - you can always ask and see what they say. Tell them it was the reverse of a referral? LOL

I emailed back with "So how much of that 3K can I get"

He kinda replied really fast when I put him on to the spammer but I guess my email hasn't reached him yet because he hasn't replied. lol

I think requesting a 'bounty' for your efforts is reasonable. Who knows how long this 'spammer' would have continued to do so and how much commission they would have generated from Google before (if) they ever found out. You saved them a lot of money, they should reward you somehow, especially if you use them...perhaps they could credit your account with a bonus.

    Good luck with that!

You didn't do it to get a reward so there is no need to ask for one. The good deed you did was its own reward by cleaning up our industry. If everyone does it we will all be better off. Besides, you did it for your own best interested, remove spammers from your forum, isn't removal of the spammers a good enough reward for you?

If you want a reward for doing this type of thing, its called bounty hunting, find a place that offers a bounty and go work for it.

If you want to ask for a reward fine, but it is the holiday season, what ever happened in doing good for goodness sake.

    Mike
