    Walmart is down for maintenance
    Well their loss in more than one way. Just went to order something and I get they are down for maintenance. So not only will they lose a ~$300 order I'll pull whatever links I have left.

    I wonder if it has to do with the 4K Elmo per day at Noon promo.

    Yes, I think it was the Elmo promo. I went in at noon to check myself and that's when the site was very slow and then went out altogether (within a minute or so). I think Walmart needs to stop these promos until they have upgraded their systems.

    Walmart could do SOOOOooo much more with their affiliate program if they had a mind to do more with this as a revenue channel. Makes me so sad.

    I don't promote Walmart but it's a fascinating company to shop at and keep track of.

    There's a great thread on the WSJ's board in regards to the current HR issue, which is turning into an interesting capitalism/morality discussion.

    Yeh, I would take them SOOOOoooo more seriously once they get beyond the standard page layout marketing spiel in the trade press.
